Patrick and I have decided to go the WW2 route this year for airsoft. We're kitting out as US infantrymen in the ETO, circa 1944-45. I have all of my stuff ready and Patrick is in the process of getting his gear together.

Is anyone else interested in gearing up in WW2 kits and having a purely WW2 game some point in time?

Good start on the GI kit. I bought the 5-20rd Thompson pouch and the snaps were just too far away to close over the 20-rd airsoft mags. I had to take it to a canvas & tarp place to get the post strip moved up. BTW, when the 30-rd mags for Thompsons were being issued, there were not enough 3-30rd pouches to issue out so many GIs put the 30 rounders in the 5-20rd pouches just as you did. Get a tan leather 1911 holster and you're set. Also, there is a guy in Charles City that has a ton of WWII gear at The Bunker. 505 Lane St,

I picked up a WWII grenade pouch there that will hold 2 Thunder B pineapple grenades.

    Loving the WWII loadout.
I've been putting together a partisan-at-best collection of random vintage/repro gear, so always interested in a themed game this season. Primaries would be an MP-40 and Mauser HSc.

Not airsofting, but an interesting Garand vs. FG-42 face off that made me think of this thread-

I believe Shoei turns out the occasional, outrageously over-priced blank-firing FG42. No production FG42 AEGs that I could find.

    Here's a link to a project FG42 AEG.

I am still thinking of your awesome chopped and channeled 1918 BAR.
The FG42 would be awesome. I believe the Rock Island Arsenal Museum has a pair on display. The 7.92 recoil would rock your world, straight line recoil or not.

Ya, The FG42 is one of my favorite weapons. I have looked up to see if any company has a model and the only thing I have found was a guy that made a custom one, but oh my goodness IT WAS SICK!
